love your blog! I'm also a birder/eco-nut/nature nut...the Chicago area is a major migratory fly-way so we get lots of great birds here, even bald eagles! I live near the Fox River so we have lots of great blue herons...
I also do garden design on occassion and my niche is eco-gardening, habitats, etc.
