No, don't worry; this is most definitely NOT the Colorado-based, super-far-right, anti-choice, anti-anything-but-right-wing-weirdos Focus on the Family. (No, I'm not linking to it, either!) This post is a focus on our family, or more precisely, our kitties and bunny. It all started because I got probably the best photo of Clawsie ever taken today (she doesn't even look like she's going to scratch your eyes out!) so I figured I needed to post it right away! Then, of course, everyone wanted equal time, so we'll start the roll call. I'll even include all their various nicknames!
It took about ten minutes of coaxing, petting, snapping pictures, and luck to get this shot of Miss Kitty Claws, aka Clawsie, aka Miss Nasty Face. Here, though, she looks positively exorcised of her usual evil:
I was even lucky enough to catch all the kitties sitting on the Little Tower of Kitty Power today. Of course, they were all bird-watching, as is their habit:
From top to bottom, Sweet Kitty Kisses, aka Kisses, aka Sweet Girl; Sweet Sugar Cookies, aka Cookies, aka The Little One; and Clawsie, aka The Fat One, aka The Little Bear.
Finally, here's little Niblet, aka Nibble, aka My-Little-Son-Moon-and-Stars, aka Nibbelette doing a funny little pose:
Kat's not about having her pic on the blog, and you've already seen me at Cape May, so that is the end of the show!

-I've always liked cats as long as they don't hang out near bird feeders-nice family you have there.-are they conservatives or liberals?
DEFINITELY liberals. They eat liberally, sleep liberally, and pretty much loll around liberally!
They are also FIV+, so they stay indoors 24/7; however, even if they weren't, they'd still stay indoors. I've seen way too many animals on the side of the road to trust the world (or the traffic) with my babies, and I've never really liked the whole bring-the-kill-to-mommy thing. Blech.
Your description of Clawsie is accurate! LOL!
I had several cats at once, year ago. Each had distinct personalities and it made life very interesting...
Never had a "benneh", though.
What a sweet post. Love the stacked up kitties. We, too, have a kitty tower. It is always interesting to see who claims the top spot. Not necessarily the top cat, but the one who wants the best view.
How do the kitties & bunny get along? I have a dog, no bunnies, but have wondered what bringing a bunny into the house would do. Assuming, of course, I could convince the dog that this bunny is not for chasing or eating.
Of course you know who I like best - the benneh!
If cats had to choose a political party, it would be ANY DAMN PARTY THEY WANT, BY GOD!
:)
But I think all cats are liberals. How could they not be?
It's pretty predictable who'll get the top perch on the tower at our house: Kisses, because she's the trim and spry one who can jump up there from the floor! Clawsie only jumps as high as the lowest perch; to expend more energy would be undignified. If Cookies gets there before Kisses, she sits up there too.
The bunny and the kitties love each other; they play chase, they clean each other. It's great! Now if I had a DOG, I'd reconsider!
Thanks for loving my babies--what's not to love?
Cats are cute and my cats stay inside also! I love your cat tower, I should get some for my kittens!
