I took this pic from the backyard the other day, as a bunch of Canadas were leaving the marsh area and heading north. Many Canadas stay on the marsh, but I guess these guys were bound for colder pastures.
John's got a good eye. i tried to mess around with my banner for a bit and it seems to be a little tempremental even if you set the pixels at the right width. I'd be interested to see if you have better results.
Any picture of birds is great by me. Since we have no geese down here, the best we can do is a flock of ibis flying over my house each morning and returning to their roosting place each evening.
I have mixed feelings about it.-I like the way it looks on your blog but then again-it makes me think that I should update the look of my blog and I'm feeling a bit too lazy to do it now.-But yes-it adds a nice touch.
Larry--no pressure, sir! I just liked the photo and decided to use it there. Maybe when you take a particular photo that you think would work, that's the right time to change yours.
PoP--wow, ibis! Is that wood ibis, pink ibis, or some other ibis? Cool.

LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!
That is a great banner. I love to watch the big geese fly.
My 2c's: Very nice!
Pretty! Makes me want to go somewhere.
I like the look. It might be good to cut off a few pixels on the right hand side so that it aligns better with the rest of the layout.
It's a great banner, Delia! I love it.
The name of your blog might need changing, however. You are way past "beginning to bird".
No, I don't.
I totally LOVE the new banner!
Yes, I like it! (sort of reminds me of a word verification block!!!!)

Thank you all, and I'll try to align it better -- I too have found Blogger to be a little persnickety with the banner thing.
I think I got it!

Excellent.

Dig it. But you knew I would.
