Delia's to-do list:
1. mow lawn (may need machete)
2. groceries
3. change kitty litties
4. get new front tires on car (before I run over a marshmallow and have a blowout)
5. go birding and take photos!
Apologies for my sparse posting of late; it's been busy at work and I'm still shaking off this cough/touch of tuberculosis, so I haven't gotten outside as much as I've wanted to.
I hope it doesn't rain tomorrow. I also might try to go to a native plant sale at a local farm called Rhoneymeade, which is a big farm/arboretum place down the road from me. It just depends on how long it takes to get the car tires.
What's on your agenda for this weekend?

My weekend starts at midnight...a big day with the ABA Leica Tropicbirds Gliders(teens) team for the Great Texas Birding Classic. Wish us luck and safe birding!
I've gotta see a poorwill!
Lizard! So happy to see you here, and you lucky dog, you--hangin' in Texas, peepin' the birds. As I mentioned the other day--you're living my dream life!
The best thing about retirement is that there are no goals for the weekend. Actually, in summer the weekend goal is to avoid leaving the community so we don't have to face the mass of tourists.
I hope your weekend is wonderful.
Wow, Delia--I am fearful that if you do items 1-4, you won't have energy for 5. So maybe move 5 up the list a up.
I must have driven by Rhoneymeade on one of our weekend trips for football. We are giving that up this coming year--just got sick of all the traffic hassles. Can watch the team on TV!
Oops--I meant move 5 up the list a BIT! Fingers tired now.
To the dump, To the dump, To the dump, dump dump ..... (Where Lone Ranger takes his garbage)
Do the March planting ... now that it has gotten to March warmth
whack overgrown blackberries.
Hope you are feeling better now. I can send my machete if you want, need some sharpening though, hasn't been used in a while :)
Weekend for me: chapter 3 and 4 of thesis revised and finished, HOPEFULLY!!!
HA! Funny list but downright normal.
I had a photo-shoot at a car show for the college this morning - went with Michael to buy some fake hanging baskets for the front porch - clean house - take a nap and then another nap and then another nap (I hope).
I'd love to find a place like Rhoneymeade because I need a lot of native down here.
Have a good weekend, Delia!
Hi dguzman,
I read through the last few posts. I really enjoyed the list of birds in your area. I'm a real beginner. Your "to do" list looks a lot like mine -- including the need for new tires.
NCMountainwoman--I'm counting the days!
KGMom--I did everything except Rhoneymeade. And what a birding weekend I had!
Rabbits' Guy--I STILL haven't put even one seed in the ground--too cold.
Mel--thanks! Good luck on the thesis revision.
Mary--check the Audubon web site for native plant sales in your area.
Crayons--thanks for coming by; I saw some great birds yesterday, so I hope you'll enjoy the new list! (coming up today)
