Fran--don't despair--science is for geeks! You know how you tell an introverted scientist from an extroverted scientist? An introvert looks at his own shoes, but an extrovert looks at your shoes. (ba-dump-bump)
8/8 for me, the one that threw me was what was the charge on a "neuron". Neutrons have a 0 charge, but I never heard of a neuron having a charge. It was a guess that was what they were going for. Caroline in SD

With a little help from my college student nephew on one question, I got 8 out of 8. 8th grade was a long time ago!
Eight out of eight for me! I guess I AM a science geek/lab girl!
Sheesh, now I feel dumb... I'm a former AND a present-day science geek, so how bad is that!?
I got 7 out of 8, too, Delia!
But I'm confused...am I supposed to be the hairy guy?
: )
I am not discussing this.
Can we talk about literature or history please?
Delia, let me boost you. To you and only to you will I reveal my results in private.
Susan--maybe the astronaut?

8/8 for me... did they mean neutron and not "neuron"?

Did you say salt or helium?
Ouch, that slapped me in the face and I was one time a excellent science student. Guess it's true, if you don't use it, you lose it.
Yeah, I figured they meant neutron, not neuron. The nucleus carries the DNA, right? I need to go back and figure out which one I missed....
I said Helium, Lizard. Salt is Sodium chloride, two elements together.
D,
I think you missed the nucleus one. :) DNA is in the chromosomes. Nucleus controls the activity of the cell.
D'oh, Patrick! Sheesh. I guess I just didn't think about chromosomes. Oops.
I didn't even take it. I scanned it and saw words I haven't seen since 1973. I'm a math and science moron :o/
I am in awe of the preceeding comments!
Well, as I said before, some of that stuff was NOT in my 8th grade science class. Or my 12th grade one either.
